Jackson, 2 1/2
We were at the table having some cookies.
Jackson: We need some milk, mommy.
I get the milk from the fridge and put it on the table.
Jackson: That niu nai? (Chinese for milk)
Me: Yep, it sure is. He niu nai (pronounced huh nyo nigh, drink milk)
Jackson is deep in thought and then points up: That he nui nai on the temple up there?
(Moroni...he niu nai... sounds quite similar! Maybe this bilingual thing is still a little confusing)

Jackson, 2 1/2 Clayton, 4 months
Mommy: Jackson, you just kicked Clayton in the head. What do you need to tell him?
Jackson: A story! I tell him a story! (Then he plopped down on my lap next to Clayton and put his hands together to make a book) Once upon a time, there was a....

Jackson, 2 1/2
Jackson and Clayton were both crying and wanting to be held (which doesn't really work that well). They'd both finally calmed down and I was humming "Families Can Be Together Forever" to them. Jackson popped up and said, "It sounds like lots of horses!" ...I'll take that as a compliment.
